Dear Bill,

Happy Hump Day! Just checking on with you this evening to see how you’re doing. I know you’ll be working overtime at your full-time job in less than an hour, but I hope you’re doing well. I pray work hasn’t been too stressful for you since January is always the busiest month of the calendar year according to your employer. It sucks that you’re not allowed to take PTO this month because of the large volume of phone calls when callers went their authorization codes to seek EAP counseling services with therapists in their communities. Anywho, I know you don’t want to talk or think about work right now, so I’m about to change the subject.

How are you feeling right now? I know you felt a little sore when you woke up this morning since you went to the gym and exercised last night. Yesterday’s workout was the first one you did on your own without your personal trainer before testing positive for COVID-19 in December. I was proud you did so and managed to get in a great, invigorating yet light one. You wore your facial mask and took the same safety precautions wiping down the equipment used before and afterwards. It was great to go outside and engage in some activity outside of writing.
