What I learned about myself dreaming about Tina Turner

It was not every evening that I found myself riding in the back of a black limousine with Ms. Tina Turner. We were driving through an enchanting metropolis, either Washington, DC or New York City. I would be her escort for an event to honor the legendary singer.
She wasn’t the same singer I grew up watching her performances in archival 1970s concert footage as the lead singer in The Ike & Tina Turner Revue or 1980s music videos broadcasted on MTV, BET, or VH1.
