Dear Bill,

It feels wonderful to wake up on a Saturday morning and to spend some time journaling my thoughts with you. I wish things were quieter or I woke up earlier so I wouldn’t have to hear my neighbor moving around in the apartment above mine. Anywho, there’s no need to dwell upon the negative or being distracted. I’m taking this moment to share my feelings with someone I love and care about and that’s you, my brotha.

You’re a good man, Bill, and someone whose dedication to personal development by becoming the best version of himself inspires me. I love your optimism about life and the belief you have about it being full of infinite possibilities. That mindset has helped you navigate through some challenging storms from dealing with unresolved childhood trauma to experiencing financial setbacks to being diagnosed with major depressive disorder.

I don’t tell you this often, sir, but I also admire your resiliency to emerge from a life transition as a stronger and wiser person. That feat is most evident when you’re writing because it’s your joy, calling, purpose, etc. I love the way you touch a person’s heart when they read and/or listen to your written words. That’s an amazing gift, Bill, and I’m happy you share it with others.
