My Definition of Beauty

A writing prompt response in less than 150 words

This story is written in response to Refresh the Soul’s 30-Day Writing Challenge.

She is majestic and breathtaking
like the sunrise and the sunset
over crystal blue waters of everyday
one inhales and exhales
to breathe and thrive
in a world where she is often
overlooked and unappreciated
like the warmth of
a gentle hug from
a departed loved one
or the joyful noises
of young toddlers
playing together
whose innocent minds
are untainted by
the poisonous venom
that divides humanity
by race, religion, and gender
or a long, peaceful walk
through the woods
reconnecting with
the precocity of
nature and the universe.
