Immersion
An abecedarian poem in response to a weekly prompt.
This poem was inspired by a writing prompt published under The Storyteller’s Vault Poetry Writing Challenge.
Immersion
Art, my first love, leaves me
Breathless whenever I splash inside
Creative waters that
Dare me to dive, not dip, into
Earnest, ebullient expressions
For the love of craft
Giving my all, baring
Heart and soul transcribing
Intangible ideas onto
Journal pages where thoughts
Know no
Limitations
Making magical memorable moments during
Nocturnal hours
On many
Peaceful nights when
Quiet storm melodies
Rain relaxing
Serenading soft sounds
Through tantalizing tempests
Until breakthrough occurs
Validating victory
When written words lead me to
Xanadu where I
Yearn for
Zen.
