A haiku and affirmation about the beauty of sunsets.

Sunset

Pause. Experience

this moment: the accounting

of daily events.

I love sunsets. I haven’t observed many like I have with sunrises, but they’re so breathtaking and magnificent moments. My favorite place to do so is nearby a body of water like the ocean at the beach, a lake in the country, or by the pond inside my apartment complex during the summertime. Watching a sunset allows me to meditate and find tranquility, especially whenever there’s something on my mind that I can’t let go of no matter how hard I try. It feels fantastic to connect with nature and release all worries by appreciating and observing this experience. Can you remember the last time you saw a sunset? How did you feel? If you haven’t, take a moment one evening to do so. Weather permitting, of course.

Today, I will recall a beautiful memory about watching the sunset and observe my emotions during this mindful exercise.
