Struggle

Finding the strength to

get out of bed is no small

feat when you’re depressed.

Depression is a serious matter for some people. It can be difficult for these individuals suffering from this mental health issue to complete their daily tasks when all they want to do is isolate and not have to face the world. I’ve been there on several occasions in the past like lying underneath the covers on weekday mornings until I forced myself to get dressed and leave for a job that contributed to my condition and coming home after work in the evenings. Making the attempt to get out of bed was the beginning steps to managing my depression. The journey to wellness continued through additional steps like attending therapy and journaling, but the first one was a necessity to get things started.

Today, if I’m feeling depressed, I will do something to alleviate my mood rather than suffer in silence
