Mastering your emotions can be difficult when you’re dealing with external situations outside of your internal influence. I’ve experienced my share of controlling my reaction to others’ behaviors from dealing with annoying coworkers to disagreeing with a loved one. This also occurred for me in challenging circumstances like being stuck in traffic due to a car accident or recovering from an illness. It’s critical to control your feelings in any of the above-mentioned scenarios because negative emotions like anger and frustration can impact your thoughts to take action by saying and/or doing that you may regret after being caught up in the heat of the moment.
Today I will learn to master my feelings if I find myself having to deal with an adverse person or situation that could negatively influence my thoughts.
