Untold stories of

resilience

resistance

and recovery

swell inside

this bulb of energy

they thought be buried

forever under the

shadows of racism

and oppression

are now ready to be

written and shared

without apology

or expectation

outside of

self-expression

and representation

of beauty, dignity,

grace, and healing

because our voices

no longer can be

muted and ignored.
